
Red Ribbon Week is 10/23 - 10/31 . Please join the mission to keep kids drug-free! This year's theme is "Life is a movie, film drug-free!"


UPDATE #1: Tuesday (10/8) will be an early release day. Schools will follow a Wednesday schedule for dismissals, and ELC will close at 4 p.m.
Lake County schools will be open on Tuesday (10/8) and closed on Wednesday (10/9) and Thursday (10/10) in anticipation of Hurricane Milton. All after-school activities for Tuesday (10/8) are canceled with the exception of ELC, which will remain open until normal closing hours. Select schools will open as shelters on Tuesday. Timing and locations will be determined by Lake County Florida Emergency Management. We will share those details once they are released. Friday (10/11) is a pre-scheduled student day off and a teacher planning day. Teachers will have the option to work from home or at their school site on Friday, if it’s safe for them to do so.

Students can purchase tickets for the Beary Not Scary Dance, sponsored by PTO, on Monday, October 7th, on the stage from 8:00-8:25. Ticket sales will end on Thursday, October 10th or once 300 tickets have been sold. Please send cash in an envelope or bag marked with the student's first and last name, along with their grade level and teacher. We're looking forward to a beary good time!


On October 31st, we will have our annual character Pawrade in which students can dress up like a book character and parade through the school with their book in hand. Parents are welcome to attend and pre-registration link will be emailed to the email address in Focus and will be open from October 10th through the 24th. Parent arrival may begin at 8:15 and the pawrade will start at about 8:50. Please watch for the flyer to go home.

Pine Ridge Elementary is model school for PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) in our district! All of the proceeds of our fundraisers go toward supporting the PBIS Program! We are able to use these funds to purchase student incentives for our bear paw earners, battle of the busses, golden spork winners, and so much more! We can continue to be a model school and provide our students with the supports they need with your help! Please see the fundraiser information below!
It’s time for a PBIS fundraiser! Students, look for your BEAR PALS in the green swamp October 21st-25th to purchase fruit scented pens: $1.00 each OR 3 for $2.00!

Attendance Awareness Week was 9/16/24 to 9/20/24 and students were encouraged to participate in theme days. The theme for 2024 was Be Present, Be Powerful. Our students had fun dressing in Superhero attire, favorite sports teams, sunglasses, and mismatched outfits.

Tomorrow, August 29, there is a fundraiser to help support our 5th graders and their end of the year activities! Students (all grades) and staff can wear a hat and/or pajamas to school for one dollar per item. We can’t wait to see all the students dressed up in support of 5th grade Bears.
