Today's Choice for Tomorrow's Future

About our School

Nestled in the beautiful rolling hills of Clermont stands Pine Ridge Elementary. Originally an area of pine trees, PRES was built in 2002 and is now home to over 800 Pine Ridge "Bears". Visitors, students, and staff looking out over the ridge enjoy a lovely view of the lake and surrounding homes. In the fall of 2017, new sidewalks were added within a 1-mile radius of the school thanks to a student-driven problem-based learning project.

Pine Ridge prides itself on the Positive Behavior Support (PBS) systems in place to decrease discipline events while increasing opportunities to celebrate student success. PBS also incorporates Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) to help ensure all students receive resources and interventions needed to support academic achievement. The University of South Florida PBIS Project recognized Pine Ridge as a Silver Model School for the state of Florida for the 2016-17 school year and a Gold Model School for the state of Florida for the 2017-18 school year.

With a focus on student achievement, Pine Ridge strives to personalize learning to support students as they realize their full potential through active engagement. Teacher meet regularly to plan instruction, reflect on practice, and monitor student-learning outcomes. We are proud to be a part of Destination Lake as we strive to be today's choice for tomorrow's future.
